Located in central Italy, in the region of Le Marche (the Marches), Casa Carotondo offers two newly furnished holiday apartments for letting throughout the year. The apartments, which provide accommodation for up to 9 people, have been sensitively renovated to a high standard in the traditional style but with environmental sustainability and modern comfort in mind. Surrounding the holiday apartments is a large garden for sole use of our guests to relax and enjoy the beautiful Le Marche countryside. The former farmhouse sits atop a small hill surrounded by farm and woodland. The views of the Sibillini Mountains are spectacular.

The interior of Le Marche region of central Italy (check out our location map) is one of the least developed and most unspoilt in Italy. It is an area known to Italian tourists and an increasing number of international holiday-makers. Sarnano and San Ginesio, the nearest towns to us, have both been officially listed among the 'most beautiful villages' in Italy. Both towns have also earned the Orange Flag for the high standards of their tourist facilities. The local populace is hospitable, welcoming and patient with those fumbling with basic Italian (our personal experience).All towns in the area organise festas and various other forms of entertainment most especially during the summer holiday season but also throughout the rest of the year.There is a wide choice of restaurants in the area offering the traditional Cucina Marchigiana at reasonable prices. Alternatively take advantage of the self-catering facilities to try out some regional recipes (have a look at our cooking page) for yourself using the fresh produce available at the local markets.

Casa Carotondo is conveniently located near the picturesque town of Sarnano with its shops, market and other tourist facilities. A number of important medieval towns with their respective cultural riches such as Macerata, Tolentino and Ascoli Piceno are within easy reach. The Sibillini Mountains are close offering opportunities for hiking, cycling and many other sports. If all that sounds too much just drive up to the mountain passes, have a picnic and take in the views. The Adriatic coast of Le Marche with its blue flag beaches also beckons. An excellent location for watersports, lounging in the sun or trying out those beach-side fish restaurants. Casa Carotondo offers the ideal location for a holiday of culture, activity or peaceful relaxation.
