The location of Casa Carotondo

Casa Carotondo is located in the central Italian region of le Marche (in English; the Marches) in the province of Macerata. Our house sits atop a small hill about 550m above sea level. Our nearest neighbours are about 600m away. The house is surrounded by farm and woodland. For administrative purposes we are attached to the commune of San Ginesio but are situated nearer to Sarnano. Sarnano has a wide variety of shops and tourist facilities.

Please note that the public transport in this area is thin on the ground. You will need a car to get around. During the winter months (Mid-November until the end of March) it is advisable for your car to be fitted with winter tyres. If you intend to go up into the mountains you will also need chains for the car.
